Waynetown - Dorothy Gray, 87, of Indianapolis died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in her residence. Ms. Gray retired from teaching school in 1971. She taught grades three and four at School 66 at Indianapolis for 42 years. She attended Indiana and Indiana State Universities, receiving a master's degree. She was a member of hte North United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, the Marion County and Indiana Retired Teachers Associations, the Alamo Order of Eastern Star 498 and the White Cross Guild of Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. She was born Sept 6, 1904 near Waynetown to Cooper and Alice Gray. Surviving are a sister, Frances Gray of Indianapolis and several cousins. She was rpeceded in death by a sister. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home of Waynetown with Rev. ELizabeth Smith officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. - kbz
